BBM Social Platform SDK 1.0 for BlackBerry Java!

After months of development and testing, we are proud to announce the latest version of the social platform BlackBerry ? Messenger (BBM ?) SDK 1.0 for Java ?! We would like to thank our dedicated Community development for all your hard work and diligent reporting bugs, that really helped to develop the platform.

Now that it has launched this version of the SDK, you can start submitting your applications for the BlackBerry App world ? storefront. remember, apps using the new BBM social platform must the user installed, BBM 6 which is currently still in beta. As such, will be reviewed apps took 8th July 2011, and, if approved, is available for sale when released app v 6.0.0 BBM itself!

We have seen some changes and enhancements to the platform since the last refresh beta and here is what you can expect to see:

Added the ability for an application to receive invitations from other users who are not in the contacts list the Contact Picker UI. changed to improve the selection of the many contacts and multi-user chat. Added the ability to send an invitation to "join" to a user who does not have the app installed. You will see a download invite, and then install the app you will receive an invitation to join. added a new API to determine whether the application is running in a test or production platform platform.

To get started, download the latest version of the BBM Social Platform SDK 1.0 for Java from BlackBerry ? Developer Zone. Then, compile your app and signing with the new build. For the device tests with this version of BBM Social Platform SDK, you will need to upgrade to the latest BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 beta available on BlackBerry ? Beta zone.

New BlackBerry Beta zone ?? No problem – simply follow the steps in the blog post announcing support for the-tester!
