With BlackBerry App World ? 3.0 beta coming soon, I was thinking about the evolution of the BlackBerry App World and how far we've come. The BlackBerry App World ? storefront launched just over two years ago, and at that time, we have made many improvements, improved the look and added a ton of interesting applications. BlackBerry App World is now in over 100 countries, seeing an average of 3 million downloads per day, and we recently crossed the finish line by 1 billion app Downloads!
I have never heard a number of success stories, great app and I thought it would be fun to highlight a few of them here (and be sure to stay tuned on Inside BlackBerry Developer Blog to learn more about some of these and others in the coming months!).

Polar Mobile has created more than 180 Super Apps for the BlackBerry ? platform, including the Globe Life and Rogers sportsnet Mobile in Canada, as well as the cnn Money and cbs Sports in the United States. Their apps focus on the implementation of an integrated and optimal user experience for users of BlackBerry smartphones.

ScoreMobile is one of the most popular applications in the BlackBerry App World Sport today and is a true mobile application built from scratch for all BlackBerry smartphones. This application provides up-to-the-minute sports scores, boxscores, player stats, betting odds, game previews, recaps, top stories and Championship. Moreover, they also publish exclusive live blog for key games and track games live with push alerts.
We have already started the move to BlackBerry App World 3.0 with the launch of Vendor Portal 3.0. The beta version of BlackBerry App World 3.0 will begin later this month, and we continue to evolve and enhance the experience for our developers and consumers.
